In 1978, a movie was made about the life of Ron LeFlore, a former prisoner who became a star for the Detroit Tigers. The movie was titled, One in a Million, and parts of it were shot at Tiger Stadium. Scenes from the movie really capture the era well and cameo appearances are made by Norm Cash, Billy Martin, Al Kaline, Mickey Stanley, and many other Tiger legends.
You will notice in the video that the lower deck of Tiger Stadium had already been renovated. The upper deck and most of the stadium are still in the traditional green — while the lower deck seats had been changed to blue plastic.
